Here it is, the scoop on how your operators are credited for the sale and redemption of Gift Vouchers and Salon Packages.

Gift Vouchers—when an operator sells a voucher, the Operator Report will display the voucher revenue figure in the Gift Voucher column, showing you how much each operator sold in vouchers. When the voucher is used to pay for services or products in POS, the amount redeemed will display in either the Visits or Products columns of the report (depending on what the client used the voucher for)—showing you the dollar value of the services performed or products sold by the operator, which were paid for using the voucher.

If you have setup your operators to earn a commission from either services or products, the commission will be calculated when the client uses the voucher to pay for a service or product. The operator who performs the service or sells the product will earn the commission.

Salon Packages—the same applies here, when an operator sells a package the Operator Report will display the Salon Package revenue figure in the Packages column, showing you how much each operator sold in packages.

When an item (service or product) is redeemed, which is a part of the pre-paid package, the corresponding service/product figure will not display in the Visits/Products columns of the report, because the sale amount was already accounted for when the package, which contained these services/products, was originally sold.

If you have setup your operators to earn a commission from either services or products, the commission will be calculated when the client redeems a service or product, which is a part of their pre-paid package. A pre-paid package item is considered redeemed when you Lock-In a service, or Collect a product from the client’s client card.

To summarise, the operator is credited for the ‘sale’ and rewarded any commissions due for individual services and products when the voucher is redeemed (used to pay for services/products), and the pre-paid package items are redeemed (via the Lock-In or Collect options). The Operator Report displays the initial sale amount for the voucher or package, and the Commissions Report will show the commission payments only once the vouchers and packages are redeemed.
